Nestled in a valley in the legendary Pamir Mountains, Pamir Lodge is a peaceful retreat in Khorog, the gateway to the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan.

For millenia, travelers have passed here along the Great Silk Road between China and the West. Over a century ago, this area was the stage of the Great Game of stealth and strategy between the empires of Russian and Great Britain.
Today, Tajikistan again welcomes visitors after its long isolation under the Soviet system. Enjoy breath-taking scenery and extraordinary hospitality where traditional life touches the modern world.
We offer five guest rooms, each of which can sleep one or two people.
The lodge has a flush toilet room, and a bathing room with 100 liters of heated water.
For each night at Pamir Lodge, the cost is: US $6 per person, $7 if we reserve a place for you, $4 if you prefer to sleep under the stars on the veranda, or $3 if you set up your tent in our garden. Meals are not included in this price, though we are happy to provide meals during your stay. See MEALS.
MEALS
You can have any or all of your meals at the lodge. Breakfast is $1. Lunch is US $2 and dinner is $2.
You can leave the menu to us, or ask us for suggestions, or make a request and we'll try our best to please you.

WHERE WE ARE
Pamir Lodge is located in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan. The lodge is a short taxi ride or a pleasant 15-minute walk from the center.
WHO WE ARE |
Pamir Lodge is operated by an extended family. Your primary hostess and host are Zubaida and Said Ilolov, along with Said's mother and sisters. We all speak at least some English.
HOW TO GET HERE
You can fly from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on a daily, one-hour flight to Khorog, with stunning scenery of the Pamirs. Alternatively, you can arrive by car from Dushanbe or from neighboring Kyrgyzstan along the scenic Pamir Highway.
When you reach Khorog, please give your taxi driver the following information:

We share a compound with the Dar Ul Hikmat, the Ismaili house of prayer. At the time this web site was created, we did not yet have a Pamir Lodge sign visible from the road, so look for the grey metal car-gate with the "Dar Ul Hikmat" sign.
